Seems to be a promising trend in Quebec... it certainly doesn't look this way in other parts of the world. I've been travelling in SEAsia for the past year and there are quite a few places where all there is to do is shop, eat, shop and shop some more.

to Ariel...mineral oil is found in the laxative isle at the drug store.
the 85yr old lady that i take care of drinks a big swigg of it every day!

i just bought a TruBamaboo Cocktail Board and havent even taken it out of the package yet. but i read the instructions and it says " oil daily for a week before use".

I inherited a lot of beautiful heirlooms. I've continued to take good care of them, but then pass them on to responsible family members.

just bought trubamboo boards no light colored sides. i am chemically sensitive and dont like the idea of mineral oil in my food. what is mineral oil? petroleum. i am concerned about the glue used to weld the pieces of bamboo together and if its already covered in mineral oil. i tried to go to their web site and couldnt get into it.

I've found that a simple binder clip works best for me. That solves the problem caused by the breaking of the rubber band. The only downside I can think of is that it takes me slightly longer to pick out a card that is not directly on the outside. The clip I use is about 1/4 inch think and has worked flawlessly as a simple wallet.
